Lindsey Buckingham at Juanitas

I wondered how Lindsey Buckingham without a band backing him would be.  The answer is very very good.  Lindsey doesn't use a pick but picks the strings with his fingers.

He played for just under an hour and a half.  The first half of the show was on acoustic guitar and was comprised of songs I didn't recognize, probably from his new album.  They all sounded good and now I want to buy his new album.

He broke out the electric guitar and  played the songs everyone knew during the last half of the show. The highlights were the Fleetwood Mac tune Big Love, where he went nuts on vocals at the end of the song, his 70s solo hit Trouble, and my favorite, the encore Go Your Own Way, where he plays, picks, and pounds on the guitar during the last part of the song.  I owe thanks to my friend David for telling me about the show and going with me.

In February 2013, Fleetwood Mac is back in the studio to record new songs and maybe a new album, with a tour to follow in April or May.  They never play Little Rock, so David and Drew, its time for a road trip to Memphis, Dallas, St Louis, or Oklahoma City!
